80MW Solar + 80MWh Energy Storage Project in Barkol, Xinjiang
Installed Capacity: 80MW solar PV + 16MW / 80MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system
Location: Barkol Kazakh Autonomous County, Xinjiang

Project Overview
This project integrates 80MW solar photovoltaic generation with a 16MW/80MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system. Equipped with high-efficiency 320kW inverters featuring IP66-rated protection, the system is designed to withstand the harsh plateau climate at 1950 meters elevation and minimum temperatures of–30℃, ensuring year-round stable operation. It maximizes clean energy utilization, supports regional grid peak shaving and frequency regulation, and enhances renewable energy integration and power reliability.
Technical Highlights
- 80MW installed PV capacity with advanced string and central inverter configuration for high efficiency
- GODE 16MW/80MWh liquid-cooled energy storage enabling 5-hour continuous discharge for optimal power management
- Inverters 320kW each, IP66 rated to withstand harsh plateau and cold climate
- Located at approx. 1950 meters altitude with minimum temperatures of –30℃ ensuring stable year-round operation
- Annual generation around 140 million kWh leveraging Xinjiang’s abundant solar resources
- Energy storage supports regional peak shaving and frequency regulation, improving PV system stability and grid compatibility
With an annual generation of approximately 140 million kWh, the project is expected to save 42,000 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon emissions by about 110,000 tons yearly, effectively promoting Xinjiang’s green energy transition. The energy storage system balances grid load, mitigates renewable energy fluctuations, enhances regional power supply stability, and advances coordinated economic and environmental development.
GODE is dedicated to driving the global transition to green energy. With cutting-edge energy storage and inverter technologies, we support sustainability goals while continuously improving energy efficiency and system reliability—empowering a cleaner, safer, and smarter energy future.
