Fishery-Solar Hybrid + Smart Aquaculture Project with 100MW PV and 12MW/48MWh Energy Storage in Hubei, China
Project Type: Floating Fishery-Solar Hybrid + Smart Aquaculture
Location: Jianli City, Hubei Province, China
PV Installed Capacity: 100 MW
Energy Storage Configuration: 12 MW / 48 MWh Liquid-Cooled ESS

Project Overview
Located in the Modern Agricultural Demonstration Zone of Jianli City, Hubei Province, this 100MW floating solar project spans over 600 mu (≈40 hectares) of aquaculture water surface. Using a “fishery-solar hybrid” model, solar panels are deployed above the water to generate clean electricity while enabling aquaculture operations below—achieving efficient dual-purpose land use.
The project integrates a 12MW/48MWh liquid-cooled energy storage system, built on GODE’s flagship DQ1907D105K-01 Outdoor ESS Cabinet, which features a 241kWh LiFePO₄ battery, 105kW bidirectional PCS, and 100kW PV direct charging module. This enables real-time energy scheduling, peak shaving, and optimized energy use for both grid and aquaculture needs.
Technical Highlights
Liquid-Cooled Precision Storage System
Each ESS cabinet integrates a 241kWh LiFePO₄ battery, 105kW bidirectional PCS, and 100kW PV direct charging module. It features ±1°C precise liquid cooling and IP65 protection rating, ideal for humid and high-temperature aquaculture environments.
Smart BMS & EMS Collaborative Control
Utilizes a master-slave hierarchical battery management system integrated with a cloud-based EMS platform to optimize charge/discharge, monitor battery health, and provide early warnings for thermal runaway risks.
Optimized PV-Storage Dispatch
Supports direct PV charging during the day and steady discharge at night to power aquaculture operations, enhancing self-consumption and system stability.
High-Density, Quick Deployment
Cabinet-based design saves over 30% of land use. Modular structure supports batch deployment and flexible positioning along pond edges, access roads, and fishery banks.
Environmental & Economic Benefits
This project achieves high synergy between clean energy and ecological aquaculture. PV energy is consumed entirely on-site, increasing self-consumption ratio by over 25%. The integrated PV-storage system smooths grid load and improves dispatch flexibility. The energy storage system ensures stable night-time power supply for aerators and water quality control equipment, significantly improving aquaculture productivity and operational reliability.
